Day 1: Cape Town (Arrival day)

Arrival day. Arrive at any time.

Transfer from the airport to your Cape Town hotel is included.

Day 2: Cape Town

Wake up to fresh coffee before embarking on a promising day.

Included activity: Full day Peninsula Tour and Boulders Beach
Drive along Chapman’s Peak, considered one of the world’s top scenic coastal drives, with the Atlantic Ocean on one side and the Cape Peninsula Western Mountains on the other. Experience dramatic scenery at the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve. Visit charming fishing villages and explore historic Simon’s Town. See African Penguins in their natural habitat from the boardwalks of Boulder’s Beach.

Day 3: Cape Town to Franschhoek

Early start as we hike up Table Mountain via the Platteklip Trail to view Cape Town from above. Spend time atop Table Mountain, then descend via cable car to head to Franschhoek.

Enjoy a delicious lunch at Babylonstoren wine farm and explore its gardens. Franschhoek: historic town with age-old vineyards, Cape Dutch architecture, and The French Huguenot monument. Enjoy free time to explore.

Included activity: Table Mountain Hike
Start the morning with a hike up Platteklip Gorge with a local guide. This is Table Mountain’s oldest and most frequented route. Hike to the upper cable station, navigating a steep and winding climb. Wander through groves of indigenous trees, a breathtaking view of Cape Town await you at the top. After reaching the top enjoy a scenic descent via cable car.
Elevation: 700m
Distance: 3km on a steep trail, 2.5 hrs approx.

Included activity: Lunch at Greenhouse Restaurant at Babylonstoren
Sit under the oak trees and enjoy a seasonally inspired menu of food for lunch with the group. Babylonstoren is one of the oldest Cape Dutch farms, set at the foot of Simonsberg in the Franschhoek wine valley and committed to growing fresh food and wine in a setting that evokes a sense of wellbeing.

Day 4: Franschhoek

Today, experience the vineyards in a unique way with an e-bike tour.
Visit stunning wine farms, each with a distinct feel, stopping for lunch. Continue through mountains  and vineyards, ending in town before returning to your accommodation.
Enjoy your evening exploring the town.

Included activity: E-bike through the vineyards
Biking through the countryside of Franschhoek, it’s easy to see why it has become an iconic destination for food and wine. The vineyards themselves are sprawled out as far as the eye can see, mountains rising as a backdrop against the rows of vines. While using your e-bike to get around, visit a number of vineyards and choose to sample the wine, the delicious coffee, or the gourmet food.

Free afternoon: Explore Franschhoek
Spend the afternoon at your leisure and explore the charming French Huggenot town of Franschhoek at your own pace. Check out the art galleries, amazing restaurants and interesting curio shops.

Day 5: Franschhoek to Hazyview

This morning, depart from beautiful Franschhoek to board our plane to Kruger Mpumalanga airport.

Transfer to Hazyview’s Premium lodge. After a delicious lunch, relax by the pool and take in the smells and sounds of the bushveld. 

In the evening enjoy a traditional dinner with Shangaan dancers. Get excited for Kruger National Park by the fire.

Enjoy a cultural evening with the local community. Dive into local fare with a delicious traditional dinner, then watch a local dance performance.

Day 6: Kruger National Park

Rise up early in the morning to experience your first safari drive of the trip in Kruger National Park. Buckle up for an exciting day!

Established in 1926, Kruger National Park is the world’s second oldest national park. Its rich history dates back to ancient times, hosting hunter-gatherers, traders, and explorers. Today, it’s renowned for its biodiversity: 150 mammal species, 500 birds, 340 trees, 115 reptiles, 50 fish, and 35 amphibians across 20,000 sq km.

Experience it firsthand on a full-day game drive, stopping for lunch at one of the park’s rest camps.

Jump into an open safari vehicle and keep your eyes open wide for some unforgettable wildlife encounters. Keep your attention sharp in case any elephants, giraffes, hippos, lions, zebras, or other wildlife are nearby.

Day 7: Greater Kruger

Enjoy the stunning scenery on the Panorama Route on our way to our next destination in the Greater Kruger area at a beautiful concession next to Kruger Park.

Then, head to our lodge in Greater Kruger. After check-in, relax before our sunset game drive. Keep your cameras ready as we search for elephants, giraffes, zebras, lions, and leopards

First stop, God’s Window viewpoint. Hike the trail and marvel at the forest-covered valley below. Next, visit Bourke’s Luck Potholes, where Blyde and Treur rivers meet, learn about its geological wonders. Finally, enjoy the view at the Three Rondavels site.

Climb into an open safari vehicle and take off from the lodge to spend the evening traversing the concession area next to Kruger National Park.
Top it up with a sundowner drink and the african sunset.

Day 8: Private Game Reserve in Greater Kruger

Join us at sunrise for a morning game drive, searching for the big five with our specialist guides. Experience the anticipation of the bush and the sight of majestic animals.

After the drive, snack, relax, or enjoy the pool.

In the afternoon, explore the African bush on foot for a unique experience.

Experience the Kruger bush beyond the excitement of a Big 5 sighting. The experienced guides will share their exceptional knowledge, as well as stories about their bush experiences.
You might encounter animals while out on a crisp morning walk, but the real magic is in getting close up to the textures and details missed on a drive. You wouldn’t believe what animal tracks, trees and the colour of the grass can teach you!

Day 9: Greater Kruger to Johannesburg

Our last morning game drive, a final chance to enjoy the wildlife. Bid farewell to the bush as we head to Joburg via Dullstroom for lunch. Famous for rainbow trout and fly fishing, this town is a must-stop with shops, restaurants, and an experience.

Arrive late afternoon at our guest house, freshen up and head for a final group dinner to share memories and friendships.

Embrace Kruger’s beauty from the comfort of a raised vehicles with an experienced guide. Big 5 sightings are thrilling, but don’t  forget to take in all the wonder that Kruger has to offer: the changing grass colours through the seasons or the gentle stance of a giraffe feeding off an Acacia tree.
Morning game drives have a coffee and muffin stop.

Day 10: Departure day

Welcome to Joburg! Our trip ends after breakfast.
